Spacetalk Life has been specifically designed to support Telstra and Spark NZ 4G frequency bands 28 and 3.

Some countries outside of Australia and New Zealand may support these bands but not all. We do encourage customers to research and ensure the local network of the destination country will be suitable. You may experience some differences due to network changes, so we do advise caution.

Spacetalk Life is rated as IP67 water and dust resistant. It has been tested submerged at a depth of 1m for 30mins.

In Australia, Spacetalk Life devices are sold with Spacetalk Mobile SIM cards and wearables plans. Prior to purchasing, please check your coverage within your area.

The Spacetalk Life device can be used in place of a traditional personal device pendant. Watch wearers can be used to summons help when required. The watch sends an alert to Safety Link's Australia based Response Centre where experienced call takers will immediately respond. Safety Link's call takers will organise the necessary assistance 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Spacetalk Life and Safety Link Monitoring packages can be purchased directly from the Spacetalk website.

Packages include the Spacetalk Life device, a 12 month Spacetalk app subscription, a 12 month Spacetalk Mobile wearable plan with SIM Card and a 12 month Safety Link 24/7 monitoring subscription.

How do I change the watch face?
The watch face can be changed by holding down the watch face for a few seconds on Spacetalk Life. Swipe from right to left and tap to select your preferred option. There are multiple analogue and digital options available.

How do I activate Flight Mode on my Spacetalk Life?
To activate Flight Mode on Spacetalk Life swipe down from the clock face and tap the Plane icon. An orange icon indicates Flight Mode is active which means the device is no longer connected to the network and all radios are inactive.

Is Spacetalk Life bluetooth compatable?
Yes. Bluetooth connectivity is supported on Spacetalk Life and the user is able to connect compatible devices for example bluetooth headsets, Airpods and in-car bluetooth systems. Currently Spacetalk Life does not support bluetooth enabled hearing aids which are medical devices and require a special type of Bluetooth connection.

How do I pair my bluetooth device to my Spacetalk Life?
On Spacetalk Life, tap the Settings icon and scroll and tap Bluetooth. Check that Bluetooth is enabled. Tap "No Paired Devices" and a SCAN button should appear. Place your Bluetooth device into pairing mode. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions of your Bluetooth device for further information how to do this. Once the Bluetooth device is in pairing mode, tap SCAN on Spacetalk Life. If the Bluetooth device is compatible, it should quickly register. Tap the found device to complete pairing.

What is the weather feature?

The weather feature allows the Spacetalk Life watch wearer to view the current weather, hourly and daily forecasts. To view the weather function, tap on the weather icon on the watch.

The Spacetalk app can also check the weather at the watch users location by tapping on the device to reveal the pop up menu, then tapping 'weather'.

What is the Step Count Function?
Spacetalk Life devices keeps track of each step taken by the watch user by detecting motion. This function is a great way to monitor activity levels and encourage the watch wearer to meet their ecommended activity levels.

How do I reset the step count?
At the clock screen on Spacetalk Life, tap to access the menu. Tap on the Step Counter icon and then tap on the settings cog at the bottom of the screen. Tap Reset and then confirm the reset.

How do I set te step count goal?
At the clock screen on Spacetalk Life, tap to access the menu. Tap on the Step Counter icon and then tap on the settings cog at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the existing goal to alter it. The goal can be set between 2,000 and 99,000 steps.

What is the difference between reminders and alarms?
Spacetalk Life reminders are set up and managed on the Spacetalk app and alarms are set up and managed directly on the device.

How do I set up an alarm?
On Spacetalk Life, tap the Calendar icon then tap the + symbol and enter your desired preferences.

How do I edit or delete an alarm?
To delete an alarm, tap the Calendar icon then hold down on the alarm you wish to delete. To edit an alarm, tap the Calendar icon then tap on the alarm you wish to edit. Tap edit and update your desired preferences. Tap okay to save your new preferences.

How do I set up a reminder
In the Spacetalk app, tap the 3 bars in the top left corner, then tap the device. Tap on 'Reminders' then tap the + symbol in the top right corner. Enter your desired preferences then tap done.

To set up a new safe zone, in your Spacetalk app, tap on the device on the map screen to reveal the pop up menu. Select ''Safe Zones' from the list then tap the purple '+ Safe Zone' button. From here enter the address of the desired location. Note that the minimum radium around the zone is 140m.

How do receive notifiation when the watch user has entered or left a safe zone?
To set up alerts for Safe Zones, in your Spacetalk app, tap on the device on the map screen to reveal the pop up menu. Select 'Safe Zones' from the list then tap on an existing Safe Zone. From here tap on Manage Alerts. Multiple safe zone notifications can be configured and these can be customised to suit particular days. Note that for Safe Zones alerts to work you must also enable automatic location updates.

How do I use Locations by Request?
In your Spacetalk app, tap on the device on the map screen to reveal the pop up menu. Then tap 'Locate Me' and the Spacetalk app will start scanning for the watch user's GPS location. The Spacetalk Life wearer will receive an alert that some one is requesting their location and they have the opportunity to reject that request. If they don't reject, Spacetalk Life will proceed to send the location of the wearer to the Spacetalk app user. The Spacetalk Life wearer is given the option to reject the request to protect their privacy.

Automatic locations updates
Spacetalk Life has automatic location update settings which can be controlled in the Spacetalk app. It is the responsibility of the Primary Account holder to inform the Life watch user that automatic location updates are active. The watch user will not have an opportunity to reject automatic tracking requests.

What is Safety Callback?
Safety Callback is a feature that allows the Spacetalk app user to request a callback from the Spacetalk Life watch. The wearer of the Spacetalk Life watch will have an opportunity to reject the call to protect their privacy. If they don't reject, then Spacetalk Life will proceed to setup a call.

To trigger a Safety Callback tap on the device on the map screen to reveal the pop up menu in the Spacetalk App then tap 'Safety Callback'.

Safety Callback can also be triggered automatically if an authorised contact calls Spacetalk life three times within a 5 minute period without an answer.

How do I enabe Safety Callback for another contact?In the Spacetalk app, tap the 3 bars in the top left corner, then tap the device. Tap 'Watch Contacts', select a previously added contact and then turn on the Safety Callback permission.

How do I grant permissions to use Request Safety callback to a shared account?
By default and for privacy reasons, invitations from the administrator of the Spacetalk app to a shared app user will have the Safety Callback feature disabled. The Primary Account Holder can grant permissions to the Secondary Account Holder to use this function by going to the Manage Devices section of their Account in the Spacetalk app.

What is Medical ID?

After a fall is detected and emergency contacts have been notified the watch face will display your Medical ID for first responders. Medical ID information is entered during the setup process. This function is useful to bring attention to any relevant conditions or allergies of the watch user.

How do I update my Medical ID?

Medical ID information can be updated in the Spacetalk app in the Safety Settings under the watch profile at any stage.

What is Fall Detection?

Spacetalk Life Fall Detection is enhanced with AI technology and is personalised to the watch user to help identify falls. After a fall is detected it will alert the watch user and sound an alarm. It will give the watch user the opportunity to confirm that they are okay before it calls and notifies emergency contacts. After a fall is detected and emergency contacts have been notified the watch face will display your Medical ID for first responders.

It is important to note that Spacetalk is a consumer general wellness device, not a certified medical device. Spacetalk Life Fall Detection does not detect 100% of falls. If able, users should always push their SOS button when they need assistance. Spacetalk is not intended to replace a caregiver or medical attention for an individual dealing with health issues.

How do I set up Fall Detection?

Fall Detection can be setup during the pairing process or after the pairing process via the Safety settings page. How do I add contacts to my Life?
An unlimited number of contacts can be added to your Life watch. Contacts are added in the Spacetalk app. To do this tap on the 'Home' button, then tap on the device. Under 'Watch Contacts' tap on the plus symbol to add a new contact.

During set-up, a contact can be selected from your list of contacts on your smartphone or by adding a new contact. The name entered in this menu will be the name which will come up on the watch to call/message the contact.

Contacts can also be flagged as emergency contacts for use when the Spacetalk's SOS function is activated. Emergency contacts will appear in the watch contacts list with a red icon to the right of the contact name.

How do I check for missed calls and SMS messages?
To view missed call and unread SMS messages notifications on Spacetalk Life, swipe from left to right on the clock screen. All notifications will remain visible until they are read.

My Audio levels are low?

You can adjust audio levels during a call. While in a call, the volume control appears on the Life's screen. Adjust the volume using this control. Additionally ensure the screen protector is not covering the speaker port.

The microphone is very sensitive and under normal background noise levels, you should be able to hold the watch 20-30cm away from your mouth and be heard clearly by the receiver. When the background noise level is high, you may find that you need to hold Spacetalk Life closer to your mouth.

The speaker level can be adjusted on Spacetalk Life by swiping down at the clock screen to reveal the volume level. Also, in the Settings menu icon under Sound, all the volumes including speaker volume, ringtone and notifications can be adjusted.

My Life does not ring, only vibrates?
This is most likely due to the ring volume level being turned down or off. From the clock screen, swipe from top to bottom to reveal the control centre. Tap 'Sound' to reveal the volume slider.How do I block calls from unknown numbers?

How do I answer a call?
When an incoming call is received, Spacetalk Life's screen will illuminate and details of the caller will be displayed. A green 'answer' button or red 'reject' button will be displayed.

The ring volume level can be adjusted or even muted. Spacetalk Life also has a vibrate fuctnion to alert you to an incoming call.

Poor Coverage
The Spacetalk Life has been specifically designed to operate on all 4G networks in Australia and New Zealand. If you are experiencing poor coverage, check with your service provider about the coverage available in your area.Check Active Data Connection

Check Activate Data Connection
The data connection is very important for normal operation of your Spacetalk Life watch. To check the active data connection on your Spacetalk Life watch, locate the information menu icon and tap it. In the information menu scroll down to Service State. The status should be "Connected".

No Network Connection
You can check the network signal strength on your Life by swiping from the top to bottom on the touch screen. The network signal strength and the network name should be displayed. If it isn't, follow these steps:

• Check that flight mode is not active.
• Check that the SIM card has been inserted correctly.
• Hold down the Power Button for 20 seconds to perform a soft reset.
• Confirm the SIM card has been activated correctly with your provider. If in doubt, remove the SIM card from your watch and test in another device or phone.
• Check that voice, SMS and data are working.Confirm the SIM card has valid credit. If necessary, recharge the SIM using the provider's recharge process.
• If available, try another SIM card in your Adventurer.

Network Error Messages
'No SIM' messages: The watch is unable to recognise a SIM card within the SIM card reader.

We recommend turning the watch off, taking the SIM card out, ensuring there is no damage to the SIM card or the watch itself. Re-insert the SIM card into the watch and power the watch back on.

If the watch is displaying signal bars and also 'No connection' on the clockface, to narrow down the source of the issue, navigate to the information menu on the watch by swiping down and selecting the settings then information and select 'Software Update'. This will prompt the watch to use the SIM card's mobile data to check for the latest software. Dependent on the result of this, please see below for next action:

'Your Spacetalk is already on the latest software': The watch is able to access sufficient mobile data from the SIM card. If the watch is still showing 'no connection' ensure that the SIM also has sufficient credit allowance. This can be done by making a call to the watch, letting it go through as a missed call and returning the call.

If after the above troubleshooting does not resolve the 'No connection' message displayed on the watch, contact our support team.

How do I View my Battery Level?
You can check the battery level in a variety of ways. To check the battery level on the watch, swipe down at the clock screen to see the battery level, network signal strength, volume and brightness control.

Some watch faces also allow the battery level to be visible on the watch face.

From the Spacetalk app, the battery level will be displayed next to the device name on the map screen.

How Do I Charge my Spacetalk Life?
The supplied charging cradle magnetically attaches to the rear of your Life watch. Plug one end of the supplied USB-C cable into the charging dock and the other end into a 5V/1Amp USB power source.

Once the watch is connected to the charging dock, a red light on the charging dock will be displayed to indicate the watch is currently charging.

Once the watch has been disconnected from the charging dock or reaches 100% of charge, the light on the charging dock will change to green. When Adventurer is connected to the charging dock correctly, the charging dock will display a solid red light until it is fully charged.

Why isn't my Loop Charging?

If Spacetalk Life does not appear to charge, follow these steps:

Attach the charging cradle to Spacetalk Life and confirm that the light turns to red after a few moments. This indicates that Spacetalk Life is charging.

Inspect the 4 golden contacts on the charging cradle and on the rear of the Spacetalk Life watch for damage.

Ensure Spacetalk Life is seated correctly on the charging cradle and the watch is not upside down and not meeting with the gold charging contacts.

Try connecting the charging cradle to a different USB power source to ensure the charging cradle is receiving power.

Clean the gold contacts on the charging cable and on Spacetalk Life with a dry cloth.

Perform a soft reset. To perform a soft reset hold the power button down for 5 seconds, then place the Spacetalk Life back on the charger for 10 minutes.

How do I View my Battery Level?
You can check the battery level in a variety of ways. To check the battery level on the watch, swipe down at the clock screen to see the battery level, network signal strength, volume and brightness control.

Some watch faces also allow the battery level to be visible on the watch face.

From the Spacetalk app, the battery level will be displayed next to the device name on the map screen.

Switching my Life Watch On and Off
The power Button on your Life is located on the side of the device. Hold the power button for a short time (Approx 5 seconds) to turn the watch on or off.

Holding the button for a long press (20 seconds) will "soft reset" the watch, you should feel it vibrate.

Simply douple tap anywhere on the screen face to wake the watch up.

Touch screen not responding? Clean watch face using a dry cloth. Completely power down your Loop by holding down the power button for 20 seconds to do a soft reset. Restart your watch.

Soft Reset
Pressing the Power Button on the underside of Life for 20 seconds will perform a soft reset and will not wipe any user data.

Factory Resetting
To perform a hard factory reset, from the clock screen, tap to access the watch menu. Then swipe from right to left and tap the Settings menu. Scroll through the list to Reset Watch. Spacetalk Life requires a PIN number to avoid accidental reset. The PIN number is the last four digits of the IMEI number. The IMEI number number can be found in the information menu. Important: After the Spacetalk Life has been reset, the initial set-up procedure and watch pairing with the Spacetalk app will need to be repeated. If Spacetalk Life has been paired previously with the same account, when performing the pairing process the Spaetalk app will allow the apps previous settings to be restored.

Touch Screen is Not Responding Correctly
Clean the Spacetalk Life watch display gently using a damp cloth. Also, completely power down Spacetalk by holding the power button for 5 seconds. Restart Spacetalk Life and check if it has improved.
