Your family's privacy - safe and secure with SPACETALK

SPACETALK is the most secure children’s smartwatch on the market and your child’s safety is at the heart of all of our products and services.

With knowledge and experience gained from our company's many years of experience developing communication technology for schools and education departments throughout Australia and New Zealand, we have employed best-practice data security and privacy practices into every aspect of SPACETALK right from the start.

SPACETALK and the AllMyTribe platform use best practice authentication and data encryption between subsystems, and best practice identity authentication.  Unlike competitor’s offerings, we entirely develop our own apps in Australia, we have developed our own server code and infrastructure in Australia, and we have developed our own proprietary SPACETALK firmware.

This closed and proprietary ecosystem has been further enhanced to meet with the most stringent Australian & European privacy and security requirements. SPACETALK is the only kids’ smartwatch on the market that is GDPR compliant; this is the strictest data security compliance possible.

We have engaged the talents of the world’s top device security experts because we wanted to ensure our proprietary platform was robust and secure for all users  - including children, parents and guardians.

We engaged Dr Matthew Sorell to conduct a security and data privacy audit of our products and systems, and to also assess some example competitor products.  Dr Sorell is an recognised member of the INTERPOL Digital Forensics Experts Group and digital investigations consultant to law enforcement agencies including SA Police and Victoria Police. He is also a senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide and Adjunct Professor of Digital Forensics at the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia, focused on criminal investigations related to wearable devices.  In preparation of his report he engaged with university teams in Australia, Estonia and Germany to assess our SPACETALK and AllMyTribe eco-system and assess competitor products.

Dr Sorell found potential security vulnerabilities in all the models reviewed except SPACETALK – and that the severity of these vulnerabilities fell into the category of “notifiable” to federal authorities.

Our media release includes further details of Dr Sorell’s report.

We are very proud of SPACETALK and our AllMyTribe platform and the great lengths we have undertaken to develop a safe and secure system with users data security and privacy our number one priority.  Our parent company MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR) is a public company with many years experience developing software systems for schools and education departments throughout Australia and New Zealand.  We understand the lengths that must be taken to develop software that is safe and secure.
