Are Spacetalk Mobile Plans prepaid?

Spacetalk Mobile Plans are simple month-to-month mobile phone plans with no lock-in contracts. When combined with the Spacetalk App, your Spacetalk prepaid mobile plan, provides your family location awareness, secure chats, wellbeing tools and mobile plan management all in one place.

Can I keep my phone number?

Yes. You can transfer your existing mobile number to Spacetalk Mobile or choose a new one. Switching is quick and easy, and can stay connected with the mobile number your family already knows.

Are there lock-in contracts?

No. All Spacetalk Mobile Plans are prepaid month-to-month plans with no lock-in contracts. You're free to change or cancel your plan as your family's needs evolve.

What's included in every mobile plan?

Spacetalk Mobile phone plan includes unlimited calls and texts to standard Australian numbers, generous data inclusions, Data Banking and Data Gifting. When combined with the Spacetalk App, you'll also enjoy family safety features like location awareness, Places alerts, secure family chats, wellbeing check-ins, SOS and simple mobile plan management—all designed to help families stay connected with confidence.

Can I share data with my family?

Yes. With Data Gifting, you can easily share mobile data between eligible family members on the same Spacetalk Account. It's a simple way to help ensure no one runs out of data when they need it most.

Can I switch from a Spacetalk Watch to a phone plan?

Absolutely. As your kid grows, Spacetalk grows with them. Transition seamlessly from a Spacetalk kids smartwatch to one of our mobile phone plans while keeping the same trusted family safety experience through the Spacetalk App.

Which network powers Spacetalk Mobile?

Spacetalk Mobile operates on the Telstra Wholesale network, providing reliable 4G and 5G coverage across Australia. Combined with the Spacetalk App, our mobile plans help you stay connected while supporting your family's safety every day.

Please Note: This plan allows minors to use the service under the authorisation and supervision of an adult account holder. This product is for new mobile plans only. Existing plans are renewed from the Spacetalk App.

Please note, even if you are living in an area that has coverage, connectivity via a mobile network can be impacted by a variety of factors. Spacetalk Mobile Australia does not offer refunds on credit purchased where the coverage map indicates a lack of coverage.

§ Data bank limit of 500GB applies for 15GB mobile plans and 1000GB data bank limit applies for all other mobile plans. Unused data from your monthly allowance will roll over to the next billing period when you recharge on the same or higher plan, provided total banked data does not exceed the data bank cap. Data gifting is only available for domestic data (roaming data cannot be gifted). Wearable plans cannot bank, gift or receive gifted data. You can gift up to 50% of your included data during each recharge period, with a maximum of 5GB per transfer. Data can only be gifted in minimum increments of 1GB, and only to a recipient with an active Spacetalk mobile plan that has not expired. A service cannot have more than 100GB of unused gifted data at a particular time.
