Download and set up the Spacetalk App

Activate your Spacetalk SIM

Pair your Spacetalk Watch

Install the app and enter your phone number or email to get started. If you've purchased a SIM plan already, make sure to login with the same email you used to complete that purchase.

Follow the instructions to validate your phone number and email.

Create your Spacetalk profile.

On the Welcome to Spacetalk page, tap "Get started".

Swipe through the carousel to learn what the Spacetalk App does.

Name your main Space, for instance your family surname or a fun nickname.

Invite your trusted contacts to your Space. They will be able to see and interact with your child’s watch once the set up is complete.

Tap on "Invite members" (you'll pair the watch later, once the SIM is activated).

Finally, invite members by either sharing the code with them or connecting your phone contacts and tapping the “+” button.

Once you have completed the onboarding steps, navigate to “Membership”. If you have purchased a Spacetalk SIM beforehand, you’ll find it ready to activate in the “Your SIM plans” section. 

If you purchased your Spacetalk Watch from Telstra or Optus, ignore this and just follow their instructions to activate the SIM.

If you don’t have any pre-purchased SIM ready to activate, just select “Activate SIM” (shown above).

Select "Watch" in the step device type.

You'll be guided through the process now. Make sure you have a valid ID handy, as well as the SIM number included inside your watch box.

Enter your SIM number. You'll find your SIM number in a card inside the watch box.

Please enter your personal information as displayed on your valid ID.

Select or port your watch phone number.

Confirm your selected plan. If you didn't buy a SIM plan before, you can select it now.

Please enter your payment method here. If you bought the plan beforehand, you'll just need to confirm your recurrent payment method.

You’re all set! When the activation is complete, you’ll receive a email with your new watch number. After that, you’ll be ready to pair your watch in the next steps below.

You might need to insert a Spacetalk SIM in your Spacetalk Watch. Follow these steps if you receive a SIM alongside your watch. If you don't see a SIM in a different envelope, it is likely to be inside the watch already.

Open the SIM tray. If you have an Adventurer: On the back of the watch, locate the SIM tray. Lever the SIM tray open from the bottom. If you have a Loop: On the right of the watch, locate the pinhole. Insert a pin to push the SIM tray open.

Insert your SIM. 
Align the SIM to match the cut corner in the SIM tray. With the metal contacts facing up, insert the SIM into the tray.

Place back the SIM tray. If you have a Loop: Push the SIM tray back in place. Make sure the SIM tray is flush with the side of the watch.
 If you have an Adventurer: Snap the SIM tray back in place. Make sure the 2 triangles align on the top left corner of the SIM tray and the SIM tray is flush with the back of the watch.

Before you pair your watch, make sure you've installed the app and activated your SIM.

Go to your family Space and tap the plus icon pictured above.

Tap "Pair a watch".

Create a new managed member to add the watch user to your Spacetalk app account. If you've already created their profile in the previous step, select it from the list.

Create the managed member profile by filling out the details requested.

Set the level data sharing of the watch into the Space you created. If you are pairing the watch to your main family Space, select "Allow all to have full visibility". You’ll be able to set different settings for each Space the watch is added to.

Tap "Pair my watch".

If you didn't activate a SIM, do it now by selecting "I need to activate my SIM".

The watch needs to be turned on with the latest update installed and the tap to pair screen showing.

Enter the watch's phone number. You'll find it in the confirmation email that was sent to you after you've activated the SIM.

Select "Tap to pair" on the watch face. The watch may still need to install an update. Once the update is completed, you'll see a QR code appear on the screen of the watch.

Scan the QR code on the screen of the watch with the app.

Tap "Pair" on the watch's screen to connect the watch.

Congratulations! You should see a confirmation message on the app that your watch has been paired.

Now that you've successfully paired your watch, let's start setting it up.

You can add up to 3 SOS contacts in the watch. They will be notified if the watch triggers the SOS alert. They can also call and message the watch without installing the app.

Set up School Mode to restrict the watch capabilities on specific days & times to avoid distractions on school days.

Configure any alarms and set reminders for daily routines like waking up.

You can set up rewards to encourage your kid to complete tasks like making the bed or cleaning their room.

Add custom preset messages that can be sent from your watch.

Finally, select and set up your preferred watch background.

All done! Congratulations on pairing your Spacetalk Smartwatch!

Note: You'll be abe to change any settings of the watch from the profile section in the menu called "Watch settings".

Add all your trusted contacts in one space so they can call an message the Spacetalk Watch.

Add Places in a Space to get notified when the members of the Space arrive or leave frequent locations like home, school and others.

Adding Routes in a Space means you get notified when members of the Space are on frequent routes like route to school, commute, and others.

Avoid distractions for your child by setting up custom schedules with the Spacetalk Watch School Mode functionalities.

Adjust the Space data sharing settings to control what data about you and your managed members is visible to the other members of each Space (e.g., location, chat).

Get all your trusted contacts sorted and choose what you share with each group easily.
